Carl McNally Signs Multi-Fight Contract With KSW

Irish fighter Carl McNally (1-0) has signed a multi-fight contract with leading Polish promotion KSW. Multiple sources confirmed the news to SevereMMA.com.

The 27-year-old fighter, who trains under the tutelage of Danny Corr at ZJK in Belfast, began competing as an amateur in MMA back in 2012. Over the next 7 years, “King Carlos” amassed a 9-3 amateur record, but it was McNally’s unconventional and eye-catching fighting style that drew attention from the masses.

In 2013, McNally landed a rolling thunder directly into an armbar to finish Ross McCorriston at Clan Wars 17.

After finally making his transition to the pro ranks earlier this year, McNally went viral again, catching Alex Bodoiu in a “helicopter guillotine crank”. A sight to behold!

Speaking to SevereMMA.com, McNally shared his excitement at the opportunity in front of him in KSW:

“So I’ve just signed a four-fight contract with KSW and really looking forward to making my debut on it. I wasn’t expecting it in the slightest and got a call one day saying they were interested in me for a fight. One week later, it was a four-fight contract! Over the next 2 years, I’m looking to seriously up my game as a professional and look for fights that are going to bring out the best in me.”

McNally is eager to stamp his name inside the promotion, and open up a pathway for his fellow teammates to follow him to KSW.

“Honestly, I plan on making a run in the bantamweight division and get into title contention by 2024. I’ve a serious amount of work to do but this feels like the perfect path for my career. I also want to put in performances that show what our club is about and get some other fighters into the promotion like Breslin, then when the rest turn professional hopefully more eyes will be on them. I’m gonna be representing the country, my club and family. Hopefully also with a bit more notice for fights I’ll get some travelling fans for support and maybe bring KSW to Belfast by 2024!”

McNally is expected to make his promotional debut at KSW 73, which takes place in Warsaw, Poland on Saturday 20th August. His opponent is yet to be announced.

The card will be headlined by former Glory heavyweight Arkadiusz Wrzosek (0-1) vs. Tomasz Sarara (1-0), and will be available to Irish fight fans on KSWTV.com and the KSW app.
