Jared Cannonier and Kelvin Gastelum went to battle in the main event at UFC Vegas 34. Lightweight veteran Clay Guida takes on undefeated wrestling phenom Mark Madson in the co-main event on Saturday night. Check all all the highlights and the official results below.
Ramiz Brahimaj put Sasha Palatnikov to sleep with a rear naked choke midway through round one of their welterweight contest, Brahimaj was unlucky on his UFC debut, suffering a bad ear injury, the American turned his fortunes around the second time around to move to 9-3.
Ignacio Bahamondes land a tremendous spinning wheel kick knockout on Roosevelt Roberts with just five seconds left on the clock. Well on the way to winning a decision, the Chilean lightweight took a chance and put himself in contention for the knockout of the year.

Josiane Nunes had a high and reach disadvantage but that did not matter in the end as she stopped Bea Malecki in round one to make it four finishes in a row on the night. The Brazilian bantamweight won her UFC debut and moves to 8-1 in her fighting career.
Brian “Boom” Kelleher put on a grappling clinic enroute to picking up a one-sided unanimous decision victory over Domingo Pilarte. Kelleher, who is a New Yorker, called to be on the Madison Square Garden card and said he wants Sean O’Malley next.
The featherweight battle between Austin Lingo and Luis Saldana was a back and forth affair. Lingo was under a little pressure early in the fight but finished the stroger to pick up the win on the judges scorecards.
Alexandre Pantoja put himself in contention for a title fight after he locked in a rear naked choke on Brandon Royval in round two of their flyweight encounter. Pantoja has two wins over current champion Brandon Moreno and the Brazilian called for a title shot in his post fight interview.
Saidyokub Kakhramonov had only 4 days to prepare for his fight with Trevin Jones and he managed to lock in a guillotine choke in the final stages of the matchup and put his rival to sleep. It was a UFC debut to remember for the bantamweight who fights out of Uzbekistan.
Mark Madson returned to the octagon after a long layoff and took on Clay Guida in the lightweight division. Denmark’s Madson showcased improved striking, he has had a tough few years having been injured and catching COVID. The former Olympian’s wife was recently diagnosed with Motor neurone disease and he dedicated the win to her, and the rest of his family.
Jared Cannonier moved a step closer to a title shot when he won a unanimous decision in his main event bout with Kelvin Gastelum. The fight played out mainly on the feet, Gastelum did try at times to initiate the grappling but any attempts were stuffed by Cannonier. Cannonier had his opponent hurt on a couple of occasions and was good value for the win.
