SBG Teammates On Conor McGregor’s Return to Action

Today at the Bellator Dublin media day SevereMMA got the chance to speak to Peter Queally and Kiefer Crosbie. As you may very well know that all these fighters train out of SBG and are training partners of Conor McGregor.

When asked about McGregor’s presence in the gym ahead of his fight against Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 in January, Crosbie stated, “There is no energy like it when he’s back in the gym.” The Dublin man went on to say, “It’s great to see him in there working hard, he’s in serious shape.”

“I honestly think that his next fight is going to be the best performance that we’ve seen from him.”

Speaking with Peter Queally about the subject he said, “Selfishly, I’m just delighted he’s back, I’m just excited that I get to train with him again.”

The longtime friend and training partner of ‘The Notorious’ went on to say, “He’s been a big part of my fight style, my preparation and how I’ve developed as a fighter.”

On McGregor in the gym Queally said “He’s a bit reinvigorated or something. He’s enjoying the training more. Maybe he always enjoyed it, but it doesn’t feel like a camp anymore. He has just kind of being enjoying himself in training which is what I’ve seen in his sessions. And that’s always a good thing.”

“I think it will be back to that Eddie [type of performance]. That sniper. I think he’s going to kill Donald to be honest. I think it’s a favourable match-up style-wise and I think he’s just going to be on fire as well, on form.”
