Dana White Confrims Nick Diaz Has Arrived In Las Vegas

It’s unusual that the Wednesday before a fight would be spent mostly talking about a fighter’s location – unless that fighter’s name is Nick Diaz. Today, rumours were all over the internet that Diaz had not left his home town of Stockton for Las Vegas. Those were fueled by the embedded video which showed an empty airport and then confirmed when Diaz didn’t show up to an open workout. Thankfully, Diaz is now confirmed to have landed in Las Vegas after UFC Predisent Dana White tweeted out a picture of the 209’s favourite son in a Nevada airport.

Of course this isn’t the first time Diaz has gone AWOL. The former Strikeforce champion also missed the open workouts before his fight against Georges St-Pierre at UFC 158 as well as a planned charity jiu-jitsu match against Braulio Estima in 2012.

But, all’s well that ends well as, after Diaz likely faces a fine for his indiscretion, one of the biggest fights of the year will go ahead this Saturday night.
