Breaking News: Undefeated Ciarán Clarke Returns To Action at PFL Belfast

Undefeated SBG bantamweight Ciarán Clarke fights in the Professional Fighters League for the first time since the merger with Bellator when he takes on Dean Garnett on Thursday, April 16th at PFL Belfast, SevereMMA has confirmed with the promotion.

Drogheda favourite Clarke is currently 10-0 in his career after making his debut at Bellator 227 in 2019. Wins over Jean N’Doye and Jordan Barton signalled Clarke as a prospect to watch in his early career, but prolonging that undefeated streak, amid a litany of opponent pull-outs and short notice replacements, has made Clarke a contender in recent years. He was due to fight in the 2025 PFL bantamweight tournament, but was forced out of his first-round fight with Kasum Kasumov because of injury.

In his return to action, UK veteran Dean Garnett awaits. 37 year-old Garnett has been in the best form of his career in the last two years. The Liverpudlian got to the 2024 and 2025 PFL Europe Bantamweight finals before losing on both occasions to top-prospects Lewis McGrillen-Evans and Baris Adiguzel respectively. Garnett has standout wins against Jan Cieplowski and Dominique Wooding and will be Clarke’s toughest test to date.

The bout will take place in the bantamweight division and joins the already announced Darragh Kelly vs. Sergio Cossio as support to the main event of lightweight contenders Paul Hughes vs. Jay-Jay Wilson.
