BREAKING: Paul Hughes set to face Davide Di Deo at Fight Clubbing 24

Paul Hughes is set to face off against Davide Di Deo at Fight Clubbing 24, sources have told Severe MMA. The event takes place on 4th May 2019 in Pescara, Italy and also features Will Chope, former opponent of UFC Champion Max Holloway.

After a 2-year layoff due to injuries, Hughes (2-0) returned to MMA in emphatic fashion, capturing the Cage Conflict featherweight title with a first-round victory stoppage of Stephen O’Neill in March. The exciting Northern Irish prospect looks to remain active and traveling to Italy to take on a hometown opponent presents such an opportunity.

The Italian, Di Deo (4-1), is coming off a first-round finish of his own over Silvano Bolognani. He will look to extend his three-fight winning streak as he welcomes Hughes to the John Paul II stadium on 4th May, in a fight between two finishers that is likely to be fireworks.

Hughes posted on facebook “The ultimate form of competition: fighting.”

“The hardest sport in the world to reach the pinnacle, bar absolutely none. In 2 weeks I get one step closer. #3-0”
