Jeanderson Castro excited for striking affair with SBG’s Pedro Carvalho

Two excelling kickboxing talents throw down next weekend on Cage Legacy’s Halloween Havoc card, as Brazilian striking ace Jeanderson Castro faces the well rounded Portugal native Pedro Carvalho.

Comfortable in both his stand-up and in grappling exchanges, Castro told Severe MMA that he is ready for where ever the bout takes place.

“Pedro looks to be a very strong opponent, but I am ready for any striking or grappling exchanges, I’m feeling really excited for this, it should be a good fight. My camp has been going really good and we’re planning to put on a show, I don’t really train for a specific opponent but I am ready for this fight”.

The Brazilian Lightweight has spent the majority of his career fighting in Asia catching the eye of his Chinese fans in recent months.

“My last fight in China was about two months ago and I just felt amazing and a lot stronger, I stopped a former Chinese K-1 champion in the first round so I’m really excited with that. I’m really comfortable and physically strong at Lightweight and our weight cut plan has been going really well so far”.

The striking fanatic has had some choice words for the likes of Bellator MMA prospect James Gallagher and SBG’s Cian Cowley in the past and says he just wants big fights.

“Both James and Cian are in good places right now so I’m just training really hard. They love my style in China and to any promoter who wants a big show, send me a message and we’ll make it happen”.

Not planning on sticking around for long next weekend, Jeanderson gave a prediction ahead of his meeting with Carvalho.

“It will be a very hard fight, Pedro can take a good shot but I would say a second round stoppage, I don’t know how, but I’m guessing a maximum of two rounds”.
